Sad to see this grim reality take place. Too many good brands were killed by corporate bungling. Imagine a world where Saab and Holden survived. Might be an oversaturated market but Mitsubishi can go.

What’ s wrong with the Ballarat sign?

What a strange alternate reality where Isuzu is still around.

Mitsubishi is actually fairly popular in Australia, probably a legacy from when they had manufacturing operations in Australia, having taken over Chrysler Australia.

Like CB, I’m over here saying “huh, Is uzu still makes cars?”

In any event, I’d have left the old signage up. You want that maintenance money, and maybe it will make you more appealing to Holden fans in general.

Isuzu don’t sell cars into Australia but they do sell their small (by North American standards) pickup and the passenger wagon version of it...both do very well. They are also preparing to launch new versions of both that are being co- developed with Mazda.

I know, just amusing to see a large sign for them.

As for maintenance...Holden owner s rarely want to pay dealer servicing prices and, in Ballarat, there’s plenty of independent mechanics.

Besides, GM is also shafting the dealers in their compensation for backing out of their franchise agreements. So no dealer principal is going to give the slightest bit of care for binning the signage...

Isuzu don’t sell cars not just in Australia, but period , the MU-X is the only non-commercial vehicle they sell.
